Linkedin has over 12 million members. It is the largest online business network in the world. Myspace is almost at 200 million members.

Facebook has 30 million members. It started as an internal network for Harvard students and started taking in all comers in Sept 2007. It has a large ABC1 audience which, according to Pier Paolo Mucelli makes it "the network to watch".

ABC1 refers to a grading of consumers.

A is upper middle class: higher managerial or professional type.
B is the middle class: intermediate managerial or professional.
C1 is lower middle class: junior managerial or professional.
C2 is skilled manual workers.
D is semi and unskilled manual workers.
E is state pensioners or casual labour

ABC1 is also a British TV station which broadcasts drama and comedy programs from the American ABC TV Network.
