LinkedIn numbers
Shally remarked in a July 14 post in here and over on his blog at ERE that:
"Actually, the number is fast approaching 14 million, and by the end of the summer by my estimates there will be 15 million!"
I wonder how much of the information is "current" at these sites! I mean - what % "signs up" and then wanders off, abandoning their "site", never to return. I recently did a cleanout on my Sourcers Unleashed Yahoo! group and found about 10% of the membership with "bouncing memberships". SU is only two years old so I did another cleanout on another group that is twice as old and that had 20% of its members "bouncing".
I have to believe the older the "group" the greater the percentage of its membership has "bounced" off somewhere. I have found email lists to age "off" at about 20% a year. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
