The Sourcer-anos

A low rent Sopranos for the Recruitosphere

Vin Dieselevey, the man who blogs in the bathtub, thinks he's going to fill the space vacated by the Sopranos with his own low rent version of the show.

In the opening episode, Shally (Tony) sends Bull Doza (Christopher) out to pistol whip a receptionist who wouldn't deliver the goods.

"Hey, yooz betta give me dose names or else. You know what I'm sayin'?"

Yeah, I know. Amybeth is Meadow. Workfarce is Anthony Junior. And, rumour has it that Maureen Sharib is Carm. Will update this report in the near future.

Of course there's the Great North Cartel led by "Meyer" Keleman, bizarre descendant of the Meyer Lansky clan whose surviving family members relocated to Toronto to open a Judeo-Buddhist deli only to catch tomain poisoning from a bad batch of supposedly Russian caviar.

When in the hospital while being cared for by Brunilda Ben Dover, head of nursing at the local Jewish hospital, Meyer Keleman's father realized that quality medical care was lacking under the social welfare system so he decided to open up a nurse recruiting agency next door to the deli.

His son grew up in the business, alternating his time between slicing lox and working the phones, calling hospitals all over Canada and the northern part of the United States. The younger Keleman finally left the deli business just after interviewing a candidate for a head of nursing position when during the interview the candidate blurted out, "I realize that Canada is referred to as the Great White North but I never realized it smelled so much like rancid salmon!"

The rest is history...
