8:45am this morning! + Workfarce, JayDee, Animal, Ami, Maureen, Karen and the Usual suspects
At 8:45am this morning Epithet was pronounced dead in a bathtub with a ham sandwich logged in his throat. Cause of death is still to be confirmed by authorities but a note held tightly in her hand reads as follows:
For what I am about to say please forgive me !
I know some of you (those limited few that actually read what Epithet wrote), recently witnessed the internal demons Epithet had around being an active blogger with posts like; If a blog fell in a forest II {Redux}who would give a S#%* and If A Blog Fell In A Forest...Would anyone hear it fall?
This morning after a lengthy argument with Epithet that started over the Malcolm S. Forbes quote
"The biggest mistake people make in life is not making a living at doing what they most enjoy".
I decided I could not take it anymore and reached for the nearest keyboard (no Maureen, it is not silent), where I proceeded to repeatedly hit Epithet upside the head 2337 times, which at that point, Epithet backed away but slipped on a ham sandwich and fell backwards into the bathtub. The sandwich strangley ricochet of the ceiling and became lodged in her throat. 23 Minutes and 37 seconds later the last Epithet was spoken.
Why did I do it? What drove me to this cruel (some would argue kind) act?
Last night after reading a few more blogs posts on RecruitingBloggers.com I noticed that only a small consistent group of individuals or the Usual Suspects (Richard Becker, Recruiting Animal , Amati Givertz’s , Colin Kingsbury , Jason Davis, Workfarce, Karen M and Maureen Sharib ) continue to write or cross comment on each others posts all the time. I realized that I did not want Epithet to lead a blogging existence where the value of the post was really only to entertain or get a rise out of a handful of the same old same old readers and contributors. I needed to put him out of his pitiful existence once and for all.
Please forgive me,
Epithet's Killer
I called the Animal straight after my dirty deed and confessed my sins. I said there are enough blogging train wrecks in the world today and I felt life without Epithet is just one less train wreck recruiting needs at this moment in time.
In closing, I do have to thank Epithet as she gave me the inspiration for creating Recruiting 2337 (which satisfied my creative side) as I felt the industry needed a little infusion of fun as I personally think at times we all take this a little too seriously.
