Fun work is important to everyone. Sex isn't.

Job plus Sex = Happy
In terms of happiness, job satisfaction is very important but social relationships are most important. And by social relations, most researchers mean sex with one, consistent partner.
More Isn't Always Better
Going from sex once a month to sex once a week creates a big jump in happiness. And then the diminishing returns set in.
Sex, Happiness and Gender
"Across so many cultures, men are more promiscuous, men want more variety, men want more women. And for women, security overrides the sexual urge. That happens because, well, the woman’s sexual urge is weaker."Joan Sewell, I’d Rather Eat Chocolate (The Atlantic Monthly)
Ever posted your resume on Monster and CareerBuilder, and always get a call and an email from those offering commission only positions. These guys are so desparate for applicants that they have to cold call on job seekers. A normal job seeker will not respond to these ads since we all want legitimate paid jobs (i.e. with an actual salary).

So will this mean that we should all give workplace romances a try and stop trying to prohibit them? Let the employees be their free spirit. We all want happy employees. Happy employees are more productive.

Romance? Since when did romance equal sex?
Damn, too bad Shoelover works alone

Since people (mostly) like to have sex in a private, comfortable spot, we need to have money to pay for this spot. Since sex (always) makes us hungry, we need to have money to buy food. Since sex (often enough) results in babies, we need to have money to raise the babies.
To have money, we need to work.
Therefore, we work so we can have sex.

But I can see where you might have gotten a different idea.
