The Cross-Post Conundrum
What do Recruiting.com, ERE blogs, the HCI Blogosphere and RecruitingBloggers.com have in common with hot chocolate, a good daily read, relativity and talking heads?

All recruiting blogs are worthless and designed by people for people who have nothing really to say; but they like to see their words in print. I've yet to find a recruiting blog that had content worth reading. The silly names by people who think they know everything about recruiting is embarrasing to the profession. However, I do believe that company blogs add value to the job seeker and can help fill positions faster. Otherwise, I'm not a fan of all the ranting and raving.

It's absolutely impossible that recruiters have nothing to say that is worthwhile about what they do. So, why don't you give us a guest posting to show us how. We like shit-disturbers shaking things up.

Dear "Recruiting Blogs Are Worthless":
Thank you for your comment. I can understand your position having been ignorant of the facts myself, and quite likely, more ignorant and for longer than you. The only thing I can suggest is that you look a little harder and I'm sure one day you'll find something that you could apply to your personal and professional development. When you do perhaps you'll be nice enough to come back and share with us all how to bring honor back to this illustrious profession.
Humbly, Amitai Givertz

Personally I tend to agree.
As a recruiter I look at these blogs and wonder when the real information will come in. Not the B.S personal good old boys club, trying to see who can outdo each other. But the real information that will help shma-educate others in this industry.
Really getting tired of the Same ole same ole inate conversations and same ole same ole people being publicized - as everyone trys so hard to see how high they can get in their ratings. It aint about the content people care about, but let's see how big I can be.

BIG THANKS TO SW & ANONYMOUS FOR STICKING THEIR NOSE OUT. I'VE BEEN FEELING THE EXACT SAME WAY FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND APPRECIATE YOU ALL BREAKING THE ICE!

Dear SW, Anonymous, and Dismayed:
I regret that the cliquey and obtuse reference to the recursive nature of recruiting blogs was a point you could not agree with, assuming my riddle was no more mind-numbing a problem for you to solve than recruiting talent is for many of us dim-wit bloggers, desperate for help. In an odd way, I think we might be in some agreement on that point. Isn’t that funny?
Also, I am sorry that the opportunities for you to click on the links provided - to find the more substantive content you may have been looking for - was so poorly presented that you never had the opportunity to get what you most desire in a good read. If my post failed to provide a portal to the world of knowledge you look for when blog-hopping, shame on me. Perhaps the pictures were confusing? Whatever, I failed you. No excuses.
Last, and by way of redemption, the opportunity to engage you here, in a conversation of sorts, is one of the essential benefits of blogging, the universe of potential readers obviously expanding beyond the bubble nebula. How nice of you to come and share your nameless thoughts. In part, that’s what this us all about. So, not all is lost to your consternation.
If you would like to give me a recruiting-related and specific topic you would to like to see a covered here – the kind of stuff you’d come back for - I would be happy to try and oblige you. Really I would. In the meantime, I would direct you to the other posts on this site which are far less trifling than mine, full of the stuff that will make you more successful, overnight maybe.

I've been this way (stupid, silly, inane) all my life and at this late date I don't think it's gonna change. Oh well...
Ranting and raving,
Wanting and wavering,

Wowzie - find it amazing the amount of ire the comments created. Hmmm..
Actually as others know by now, Anonymous was Me, yes me gentle reader - Karen Mattonen. For many who may know me there are many who will go Oh, that figures!
The reason I chose to stay anonymous -- even though I really wasn't as my email address and IP number is obviously still available for many to see with a click of a button.. ---- was because I do feel that there are awesome blogs out there that are quite good and I didn't want individuals to feel that I was picking on them.. Also as I stated earlier, I am gun shy from the hell I received last year for Expressing my personal opinion about the direction the recruiting industry has taken, and the amount of misinformation that is presented by self proclaimed industry leaders.
Hey at least we can say that my opinion has been consistent these past 7+ years.
Anyways, there is enough cross referencing re my comment - so I don't have to continue to post my beliefs.. hey, it's only my truth, you have yours.. I guess that why we live in this great land - that freedom of speach thingy..
No biggy, I don't proclaim to be an industry leader, and who really gives a hoot to what I say, so why the big rush of emotion?

Dear Not So Anonymous,
"...who really gives a hoot to what I say," - Well clearly, we do, and you do too.
"..as everyone tries so hard to see how high they can get in their ratings." – You mean like in metrics?
“…It ain’t about the content people care about…” – A point that can be easily disproved by going here:

Karen, admit it: you’re a serial blogger. C’mon, give us a post! Publish and be damned.
